I descend from Christopher and Hannah Bush of Hardin Co., KY. These notes on their grandson, Samuel and Deborah (Garner) Bush, father of BENJAMIN JACKSON BUSH, who m. Malvina E. Ash, might be of interest to some: "Samuel Bush, a grandson of the "Old Indian Fighter" Christy Bush and a native of our county died at his residence near Camp Joe Davis on last Sunday in the sixty-first year of his age. He was an exemplary and prominent member of the Baptist Church. The deceased was apparently in good health a few moments before his death. He was a very large and fleshy man weighing 427 pounds. His coffin was 6'5" long, 32" wide at the breadth and over 20" deep." Patti No problem. I just wish I had more time. I will see if I can find out anymore for you next weekend. I did try to check bith records for Hardin co Josie's birth year. But there wasn't any records for that year. I noticed that J B Hutcherson Jr on his father's farm. If his wife was Flossie Pearl, they were married in Larue co. That might be a point to check. I don't have too many Larue records to check. Lynne Ditmore
Patti I found an obit for Joseph B Hutcherson from "The Sentinal" Radcliff If you would like the copy, email me privately with your address. Lynne Ditmore
Patti I found an article in "Two Centuries in Elizabethtown and Hardin County 1776-1976" "Benjamin J Bush married Malvina Ash, born about 1845. Children born to them were. Waverly Owen Bush, born 1871, whom older residents will recall as a policeman and taxi operator here in Elizabethtown; Henry T Bush born 1867; George H Bush, born 1868, Ida E Bush, born 1873 and Maggy Bush, born 1875." I didn't have much time to research today. I can check next weekend a little further for you. Lynne Lynne Ditmore

Since I have seen some letters regarding the Bush family, I thought I would throw my Bushs back out and see if anyone recognizes them. I am researching Eddie Bush b.2-7-1889 d 12-1-1926. His wife was Viola Fain b 10-29-1888 and d 8-26-1925. Reportedly, Eddie and Viola were in a violent car accident in 1925 which killed Viola instantly. Eddie died a little over a year later. They are both buried in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery. They had 2 children, Garland Bush and Harlan Bush. Garland was born 3-27-1910. He and his brother went to live with their grandmother Fain on a large dairy farm in Elizabethtown. I have found another Eddie Bush in Hart Co who could have been my Eddie's father but I have no proof. Does anyone know of Eddie and Viola? Pam
I am looking for a line of Manning. Related to James (Jim) married to Dora Harrison and second wife of Beadie Nimmo Jacobs. Also looking for Dora Harrison's line. Her father was John T. Harrison. Her sister was Mary LuVena "Molly" Harrison and she was married to James' brother Willis David Manning. John T. Harrison also had a son named John Thompson or Thomas Harrison. In information on the Manning or Harrison line would be appreciated and would be happy to share other information I have.
Patti, I was browsing through the cemetery inscriptions and found a Rev. Joseph Benjamin Hutcherson , 13 May 1868 - 14 July 1957 common stone with Josie Ellen Hutcherson, 20 Aug 1883 - 25 Apr 1957 buried at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. This cemetery is located a short distance north of Elizabethtown near U.S. Highway 31-W. The church was organized in 1838. Does this help any???? Sure sounds like this could put a end to some of those sleepless nights. Sorry I couldn't find anything else on the reference material I have here at home. In the 1860 Hardin CO. census, there is a Henry Ash and his wife Nancy with daughter Malvina - age 12. On July 28, 1846, Henry Ash married Nancy Carrico. In the 1870 Hardin Co. census, a 4 yr. old Susan M. Allen is the daughter of Ferdinand Allen and Sarah F. Other children are Eliza A. - 8 and Owen T. - 6.
In my earlier email I stated that I was searching for information on Henry Clinton Bush. That was wrong. Sorry about that! I am actually looking for HENRY CLINTON BARRY (b: July 20, 1862 d:Feb 20, 1932). If anyone has any info, please let me know. Patti Anne Stemwedel (Hutcherson) pstemwedel@netzero.net

before today, all the information that I found said that Joseph B. Hutcherson (1916-1997) was the son of Joseph B. Hutcherson (1868 - 1957) and Josie Ellen Bush (1883-1957). She was the daughter of Benjamin Jackson Bush (1841 or 42 or 43 - 1911 or 10)and Malvina E. Ash (1847-1917). Now, all the information that I have been receiving shows no sign of Josie Ellen being their daughter. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on? I am completely confused now. Looking for a John Hardy on the Census for 1850 and 1870 in Hardin County, Ky? I'm trying to find the parents of John Hardy b. abt. 1848 married Celia Clark b. 1855? Thank you, Jude
Hi I'm new to the group, but my father's family has lived in Harden County for many generations. I am now trying to fill in the gaps of my family lineage. Unfortunately, I am new to this, so I'm not a very good detective, as of yet. Right now, I am searching for information on MALVINA E. ASH, born Aug 4, 1847 in Harden county married to Benjamin J. Bush, died March 5, 1917 also in Harden county. I have no information on her parents. Also, does anyone have information on HENRY CLINTON BUSH, born July 20, 1862 died Feb 20, 1932 (both in Harden County) or his wife SUSAN MINERVA ALLEN, born 12-19-1864 (or 1866) died July 8, 1953 (also Harden county)? These are my dead ends. Any information would be helpful. Thanks! Patti Anne Stemwedel (Hutcherson) pstemwedel@netzero.net Shop Safely Online Without a Credit Card http://www.rocketcash.com

I found several in the state not listed. So are we doing CN now??? Have you stopping jumping for joy yet!! Clyde I didn't keep copies of what I send, but will recheck either Wednesday or Saturday for you. Thank for the note, but the attachment wasn't needed. Just call it a random act of kindness!!! Two James are listed -- p 210 and 195. Also, Jessie 185, Davis 184 and more Clarks. A Davis Clark m 1825 Elizabeth L Russel in Green Co, KY. Green Co is a little south of Nelson Co.
