    3. Sally I wonder if it would be easier to go to the local libraries and ask if there is a LDS tape that can be ordered. They are $3.25 and I usually get mine within about 2-3 weeks and they remain at the library for one month for viewing. I'm waiting for three tapes on older deeds in Hardin co. now. Just those documents I send: An Attestment to the Dodge estate inventory, appraisement of Dodge estate, amount of sale and land division among the heirs. In that you are lucky, I wish I could have found as much for my John Caldwell. The only thing I have is a mnetion in the day order book. To get copies of the orginal Dodge papers you should contact the court house in Elizabethtown. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Genealogy is like playing Hide and Seek.. They hide... 3. Mary You are right about John and Jehu being two different people. Jehu seems to be the younger of the two. I have the children of Jacob and Mary Frost Larue. Also the children of William and Phebe Larue Buzun. There is a 580 page book of the Larues. Also found a book that list Jehu and Hannah Jenkins children. Yes this person believed John and Jehu were the same. I didn't have time to really scan them, but with tomorrow. I didn't fnd a will for John Sr. I don't have access to the probates. If you had asked three months ago, I had the index of probates from Salt Lake CIty at the library. If you want the lists of the children I can mail them out. Please email me privately with your address. I'll get them out Monday. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Genealogy is like playing Hide and Seek.. They hide... I seek!!!!!! 3. Lynn, Can you find a probate/will for John Jenkins Sr ca 1836/7 Hardin Co?? Am looking for a John Jenkins,Sr who died 1836. An 1837 Guardianship record for son Benedict, dau Eleanor (Ellin) & Elisha Jenkins- names son John Jr guardian with Austin/Lewis Jenkins surety. Benedict (b 1817/18) married Elizabeth Medcalf(b 1818) 1839 Hardin Co, both died in LaRue Co. The mg record says John (Jehu?) Jenkins, man's guardian; witnesses: Joseph Medcalf (Elizabeth's father) and Vincent Medcalf(Joseph son & he married Mary Ann (?) Jenkins also d/o John). Several more Medcalfs married Jenkins children too. Eleanor/Ellin Jenkins married Silas Jefferson Medcalf/Metcalf(e) 1839 Hardin Co. Silas J. also s/o Joseph Medcalf (wife Nancy Ann Figg). Ellen was wife #1, Margaret J. Gollaher, wife #2 & Mary E. Cundiff, wife #3. Silas had 21 children by his 3 wives. "Six Generations of Larues" says "Hannah Buzan married John Jenkins (d 1836) Jan 1805. Numerous descendants." Do not name any. Hannah Buzan, d/o William Buzan & Phebe Larue (d/o Jacob & Mary Frost LaRue). Mary J. Jones' mgs says Jehu Jenkins married Hannah Buzan. I have a copy of the marriage record. In one place it looks like John & in another place like Jehu. AS a result: Jenkins Family researchers has him named John Jehu or Jehu John. Two seperate men has been put together. Both John & Jehu were sons of Philip & Jane Allison Jenkins (re: Philip Jenkins' will 1818 Hardin Co). Would love so much IF you could find something on John Jenkins, Sr who died 1836. Thank you, Mary
