Edmonson of Eliza- bethtown, & Charles Lasley, a saddler of Hodgenville, were married in Jeffersonville on Monday. Mrs. John Thompson is a sister of the bride and was present at the marriage. They will reside in Hodgen- ville. Tuesday, January 19, 1909 Wm. Thompson died Friday at the home of his brother-in-law, Bud Stuart of near Red Mills, where he visited. Died of pneumonia. He lived in Louisville. Survived by wife and 4 children. He was a brother- in-law of the late R. E. Stuart at Glendale. Funeral at the Catholic Church near Red Mills by Father Autheman of Cecilian and burial in Stuart Cemetery. Tuesday, March 2, 1909 Mrs. Henry Kinser of Leitchfield died suddenly at the home of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson yesterday. Burial at the ceme- tery near Leitchfield. Tuesday, April 20, 1909 Samuel Biglow & Miss Rennie Thompson, both of near Elizabeth- town, were married in Jeffersonville on Sunday. Groom is a 25-year old farmer and the son of George Biglow of near Tunnel Hill. Bride is 22-year old daughter of the late Thomas Thompson. Mrs. Geo. Friday, July 23, 1909 Mrs. Robert Thompson, an aged and respected lady of New Haven, died suddenly on Wednesday while returning from a social gathering. Tuesday, August 10, 1909 Mrs. J. Ira Thompson of Guston visited her sister, Mrs. R. L. Nall. Friday, September 24, 1909 Mrs. Ira Thompson of Guston visited her sister, Mrs. J. S. Owings of West Point. Tuesday, September 28, 1909 Columbus Riggs of Meade Co. & Miss Thompson of Meade Co. were married. Groom is the son of Jordon Riggs, formerly of East View and grandson of M. C. Humble of that community. Tuesday, October 5, 1909 John Gunning died at the age of 81 years at his home on the Riney- ville Road, several miles from Elizabethtown on Saturday. Was a native of Ireland and came to U.S. at the age of 19 years. Settled in Hardin Co. shortly afterwards. Married Miss Julia Thompson over 50 years ago. Survived by wife, 7 sons and 3 daughters. Member of Catholic Church. Burial in Catholic Church Cemetery in Elizabethtown. A 16-month old son of Mr & Mrs Charley Thompson of St. John died Friday. Friday, October 15, 1909 Wm. Clark was found dead in his bed at the home of his nephew, Robert Clark at St. John yesterday. Believed to have died of heart trouble. Was 65 years old and a native of Hardin Co. Was unmarried and has resided with his nephew for the past 5 or 6 years. Member of Catholic Church. Survived by a brother, Joe Clark and a sister, Mrs Mary Jane Thompson, both of Marion Co. Burial in St. John Church Cemetery today. Tuesday, October 26, 1909 Mrs. Mary Brashear of West Point left for Amarillo, Tx. where she will spend the winter with her daughter, Mrs. S. Thompson. Friday, November 19, 1909 Samuel J. Thompson of Louisville died at the age of 54 years suddenly from a ruptured blood vessel of the head at their home in Louisville. (East View News) Friday, November 26, 1909 Bernard Thompson & Miss Leathie Thomas, both of Louisville, were married in Jeffersonville on Tuesday. Groom was born in Hardin Co. and is the 21 year old son of James Thompson, a cooper. Bride is a native of Marion Co. and is 18 years old. Friday, December 24, 1909 Henry and Amas Slinker of Pierce attended the marriage of their sister Della to Robert Thompson. (Upton News)

    3. From Sam McDowell's book on Fort Knox Cemeteries, I found Pamelia N. Reesor in the Garnettsville Cemetery. It is located ouside the boundary of the military reservation. It is north of highway 1638 and east of Otter Creek. It lists: Enoch B. Reesor "Father" Apr. 6, 1832 - June 16, 1899 Pamelia N. Reesor "Mother" June 22, 1827 - Oct. 30, 1911 The added notes (census microfilm) 8M610R Enoch Reesor was 48 and his father was born in Virginia. His wife Pamelia N. was 52. Enoch's children were: John H. 22, Georgeann 18, and Mary E. 12. Samuel T. a 12 year old nephew lived with them. 5M184R Jacob Reesor 64 born in North Carolina, Rachel 54, Enoch 19, Mary 23, and Rachel 9. (Enoch married Barbara B. Bunger April 20, 1855. She died February 16, 1866 and is buried in the Bunger Cemetery in Meade County.) Mollie Eliza Reesor, Feb. 12, 1868 - Sept. 5, 1952 (8M610R, Mary E., daughter of Enoch.) Dr. J. H.     3. According to FORT KNOX CEMETARIES IN BULLITT, HARDIN, AND MEADE COUNTIES, KENTUCKY by Sam McDowell, there is no Dabney Withers buried at Pleasant View Cemetary. In fact, Dabney Withers wasn't listed in the book.

Native of Meade Co. and a member of the Frymire family that settled in Ky. when Meade Co. was a wilderness. Was the widow of Daniel Richardson of Ekron, where she spent most of her life. Survived by following children: Mrs. C. A. Craycroft, Mrs. Susie Myers, Mrs. June Brown, Mrs. Belle Ashcroft, Mrs. M. R. Read, W. T. Richardson and James H. Master Loy Brown visited his father, Gabe Brown of near Wood- land. Loy has made his home with his aunt, Mrs. Rebecca Brown since his mother's death. Survived by wife and 2 daughters, by a former marriage, Mrs. Anna Perry of Bartles and Mrs. Frank Brown of Vine Grove. Friday, October 1, 1909 Mrs. Elizabeth Highbaugh died at the age of 94 years at her home near Hammonsville last Monday of old age. Member of Baptist Church. Survived by 4 children: John R. My Mother Betty Jane (reynolds) Marks was her daughter. I remember that her father (Lulu) came from Illonoise but i am not sure 0f that. I am hoping that we can be of assistance to each other.

    2. Priscilla, Thanks for your help-as always! Dabney and my great-great aunt Permelia Peters married in Meade Co. 1859. My info is sketchy, but I think he died sometime later. Do you have death date for him? I do know that he is buried in the Pleasant View Cemetery. ALso, I think Permelia married later to an Edwin Reesor, but I can't find my source for that. David Lee has said that he has no info on Edwin. Also againk, Do you by chance have death date for Permelia-b. 1828, I think, in Hardin, and where she is buried? Thanks! Carol

I do remember that Dabney is buried in the old Pleasant View Church Cemetery on the Ft. Knox property Do you have death date for Dabney? I do know that there is a Withers cemetery along the oldd 1681(?) in Meade- is now Ft. Kox reservation property. Carol

Tuesday, January 19, 1909 Henry Williams died at the age of 49 years in Enid, Ok. He was reared in Vine Grove. He was on his way to visit his sister, Mrs. Sam Brown of Meeker, Ok. when he became sick at Enid and got off the train. Was the son of Mrs. Amanda Williams of Vine Grove. Survived by wife, 4 children, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral at Enid. Friday, January 29, 1909 Mrs. Rebecca Nall of Nall's Valley and Dan Brown of Cecilian have been at the bedside of their brother, John Brown, who has pneu- monia. Wood, proprietor of the restaurant at Sonora. Cy Bogue, son of James A. Bogue, a prominent farmer of Sonora, & Miss Maud Wood, daughter of W. A. Wood, were married in Jeff- ersonville on Wednesday. (Sonora News) Prof. B. B. Layman, Miss Donnie Mae Bland and Miss Grace Wood will close their fall term of school at Sonora next Friday. Friday, April 2, 1909 W. C. He is from Hardin Co. He chartered the Ohio Belle steamboat from Louisville and started down the river to pick up his guests. Tuesday, July 27, 1909 The bans of matrimony between Miss Ada Wood, daughter of D. S. Wood, & Sylvester Rodman, son of Dr. H. D. Rodman, all of Bards- town, were announced for the first time at St. Joseph's Church on Sunday. Miss Wood is a relative of Mrs. E. H. Massie of Elizabeth- town. Tuesday, August 10, 1909 Miss Ada Wood, daughter of D. S. Wood, & Sylvester Rodman, son of Dr. H. D. Rodman of Bardstown, were married at the rectory of St. Joseph's Cathedral on Tuesday, Aug. 2nd. Tuesday, August 17, 1909 Wm. Woods of New Albany, committed suicide by drowning himself in the Ohio River, 5 miles below West Point, along the Meade Co. shore. The body was found on Friday. Tuesday, August 31, 1909 Jewett Wood & Mrs. Maggie Humphreys were married at Sonora on Sunday, the 22nd. Groom is a farmer near Sonora. The bride is from Sonora area also. This is the second marriage for each. The bride is 29 years old and was formerly Miss Maggie Hornback. The groom is 43 years old. Tuesday, October 19, 1909 Mrs. Maud Bogue, wife of Cy Bogue, died at her home yesterday at Sonora. Suffered from typhoid fever. She was about 23 years old and the only daughter of W. A. Wood of Sonora. Married less than a year ago. Burial in City Cemetery. Tuesday, November 9, 1909 Never before in the history of Munfordville were 3 couples married at the same time. Last Thursday it became known that 6 young people, all brides and grooms, were in the Court House to obtain marriage licenses. All of the Cub Run area and their names are: Austia Stinson & Rosa Cox, Walter Stinson & Mary B. Cox, Martin Wood & Sallie F. Cox. Judge S. Middleton performer the ceremony. Friday, December 3, 1909 Jack Wood, an old Negro, aged 100 years, died at his home near Hiseville, Barren Co. He belonged to Robin Wood family and was bought from the father of the late C. C. Pare, editor of the Franklin Favorite, before the war.

Colby Casey died of cancer of the stomach at his home on West Front Street, Ohio Falls, on the suburb of Jeffersonville on Tuesday. He was born in Hardin Co. on the farm adjoining the Lincoln land, which has now become famous. Was a bricklayer in younger days. Born Oct. 22, 1823 and was the last of the family of 7 boys and 3 girls. His parents owned a good size tract of land adjoining the Abraham Lincoln farm and there the father of Casey died after the age of 90. The widow and several of her children then went to Jackson Co., In. and there she died at the home of her son, Wm. Casey, who was a well-to-do farmer. Colby Casey then located in Scott Co., where he owned a good farm and a brickyard. Ele- ven years ago he came to Ohio Falls. When a young man he married Miss Mary Estell and they had a daughter. He married a second time on Feb. 17, 1851 to Miss Emily Johnson, who survives her husband. They had 6 daughters and 2 sons: Mrs. James Groves, Mrs. John Groves, Mrs. Frank Applegate of Jeffersonville; Mrs. Anna Harrison of Ohio Falls; Mrs. C. Dwinnell of St. Matthews, Ky; Mrs. James Miller of Kansas City, Mo; Robert Casey and Edgar Casey of Clarksville, In. Member of Methodist Episcopal Church. Miss Flora Miller of Richmond, In. & J. E. Howell of Cincinnati were married recently at the bride's home. Bride is the daughter of Miles Miller of Nolin. She was formerly a school teacher in Hardin Co. schools.     3. Priscilla,' I have a Withers connection in my Peters family. If you have any info, let me know. Dabney Withers m. Permelia Peters about 1855 or so in Meade Co. Permelia-my great-great-aunt-later m. an Edwin Reesor-maybe in Hardin Co. I don't have exact details. I'm trying to find out if Permelia had any children in either marriage. Thanks! Carol Anderson
