    2. Tuesday, July 27, 1909 J. Walker Stewart has purchased a Bush runabout from a Louisville auto firm. Friday, July 30, 1909 Miss Emma Stewart of East View will teach the school at Hardin Springs. Geo. Stewart, Road Supervisor of Hart Co., is lying unconscious at his home in Munfordville as a result of wound received from an un- known assailant on a lonely road 6 miles from Munfordville on Satur- day night. Persons driving on the road found him yesterday and no one had been able to find a clue to the identity of the assailant. There is little hope of his recovery. He is 65 years. Friday, August 6, 1909 Mrs. W. R. Stewart of East View had a son born Monday. He was named Joseph Robert Stewart. Tuesday, August 17, 1909 Miss Annie Stuart & Christian L. Wiseman were married this morning at the Catholic Church near Red Mills. Bride is a sister of the late R. E. Stuart. Groom is from Rineyville. Friday, August 20, 1909 Walker Stewart drove his new car through Louisville and is now enjoying it on the roads of Elizabethtown. Friday, September 10, 1909 Mrs. W. R. Stewart and children left for Whitesville to join her husband, who has employment there. She was accompanied by her father, Eld. J. D. Richardson. Lasley & Miss Kate Garland were married Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Cecilian. Greenley died Friday at the age of 90 years of compli- cation of diseases at St. Joseph's Infirmary in Louisville. He made a vow that if Henry Clay was defeated for President, he would never shave again. He had a flowing white beard. He was born Sept. 20, 1818 near Baltimore. Was the son of a Maryland planted, an Englishman, who came to this country shortly after the Revolutionary War. Married Miss Brady. Worked on his father's farm until 18 years old when he came to Louisville to take up newspaper work. He began the study of medicine at the age of 23 years in the old Medical Dept. of the University of Louis- ville and graduated in 1844. Two years after graduation he married Miss Eliza Ann Lewis of West Point, Ky. She died 3 years ago. About 1844 he began to practice near West Point but soon moved to Meadow Lawn. Survived by 3 daughters and a son, J. C. Greenley of Greenville. Friday, July 9, 1909 Mrs. Ada Roberts of West Point, wife of Will A. Roberts, died July 7th of a tumor of the stomach. Member of Baptist Church. Was the daughter of Bluford Lewis of West Point. Survived by husband and a child, aged 4, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Wm. Barnett of Owensboro and Miss Lena Lewis of West Point.
