So good to hear from you! I dont think I have seen you since the early 60s, when I was knee-high to a grasshopper! You might remember my parents more that me. My dad was Otis Childress who used to sing with you and your brothers and my mom was Edie Church Childress, one of your Caudill-Vallance cousins. Papa [passed away March 17, 2006 and mom on Jan. 26, 2000. I heard about Norman's passing. I spoke to Myra and Uncle Don several times during his illness. Please give his family my condolences, and trell them that they are in our prayers. About the Dillow connection, your grandmother Ella Vallance Dillow Clere was previously married to Fred Dillow and had one son by him. Delbert Dillow was your father, Charles Leonard Clere's half-brother. I have been keeping in touch with a member of Delbert's family, the wife of his youngest son. They still live in the vicinity of our homeplaces in Kentucky. I can put you in touch with them if you like. I'll send you my email address through Don and Myra. If you are interested, I have a great deal of information on the Caudill side of our family and have been working recently on the Vallance line.
