KY -Testimony of S.H. Aldridge age 46 in 1881: William Anderson died Dec. 10, 1880 (?) -Testimony of James Anderson (in 1890?) age 39 of Greenup that he was the eldest brother of Jeremiah Anderson and the son of Nancy E. Anderson. Jeremiah was born Sept. 13, 1876. -Testimony of Nancy F. Anderson in 1890 that she was witness to the birth of Jeremiah to Nancy E. Anderson. She lived within one mile of Nancy E. Anderson -Testimony of Reubin Thompson that he had known William Anderson for 50 years and lived within 6 miles of him..later a letter from R. (last name unreadable) questioning the reliability of the testimony of Reubin Thompson) -Statement of Nancy E. Anderson age 46 of Limeville, Greenup Co. KY, widow of William Anderson who served in Co. F. 22nd. Ky. Honorably discharged March 10, 1863 and died Dec. 1, 1880. She was married under the name of ELIZABETH HICKS 28 Feb, 1865 by the Rev. Cummins at Portsmouth, Ohio. The soldier had been married before and his first wife had died. There was a child still living with her- Jeremiah Anderson who was born Sept 13, 1876. -Also included in this file from the State of Ohio Probate court, Scioto Co. Feb. 1889: Certificate of marriage of William Anderson and ELIZABETH NOLAND by S.P. Cummins on 28 Feb. 1865. (Note: at this time I do not know whether HICKS or NOLAND was Nancy E.'s maiden name.) -In file also: John T. Anderson age 37 of South Portsmouth, Greenup Co. KY was claimant after the death of Nancy E. Anderson. He states that when she died on July 2, 1911 she was living with John T. Anderson, her son.
