Dawson, John Poage, Wm. Sowery, David Ellinton, Benj. Euhing, Thos. Hood, Absolum Burton, James Lowry, James Norton, Jesse Griffith, James McGuire, James Warnock, John ?on, John Terrill, Andrew Hood, Wm. Dupew. First Case: Christopher Stump against Aaron Littlejohn. James Clark and Thos. Bougherty qualified as attorneys-at-law. James Clark appointed Commonwealth Attorney. July 19, 1805. Wm. McClure was tried for having counterfeit money. 1817- Slave girl named America, freed because of her departure from Kentucky, slave state to Ohio, a free stte. Tried before Judge Coons and Samuel McKee, granted her freedom. America went with her mistress as a nurse from Greenup across the Ohio River to Haverhill village in Ohio to attend a party. After the party she refused to return to Kentucky, saying she had obtained her freedom by going into a free state.
