I have an ancestor whose death record says she was born in "Springville, Kentucky"; does anyone know of such a place and if so, what county is it in (or was it in)? Her name was Kate SLACK and she was born Dec 10, 1852, was married to John Alexander Custer on July 30, 1878 in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio, and died in Portsmouth on Feb 16, 1892.
