Hello from Oklahoma Can anyone on the list help me with my Barkelow family? I know so little, but suspect so much. I know that Ira Hitchcock married Eliza Barkelow 1806 Wood Co. WV. By 1810 they had floated on down to Scioto Co. OH. A Johnson or John Barkelow was also there in 1810. By 1820 the Widow Ruth Barkelow was in Greenup Co. I need to know for sure that Eliza was a daughter of John and Ruth. Ruth was Ruth Stout before marriage. If not, who were Eliza's parents? Does anyone have info on these Barkelows? These was a group of Barkelows in Mason Co. as well. Do these Barkelows connect with those in Greenup and Scioto? Any help appreciated. Monty Olsen mrolsen@cherokeetel.com
