Carleene, I would like to take you up on your kind offer to search the book on Greenup marriages from 1854 to 1903. My ancestors were Benjamin R. Townsend, b Aug 1, 1835, in KY, and Lucinda Estella Barney, b Dec 9, 1835, in Greenup Co., KY. Their first child, Jackson J. Townsend, was born in Greenup Co. on April 26, 1854, so they were probably married before 1854, but you never know. I have some information on Lucinda's ancestry, but nothing on Benjamin's family. Do the marriage records give the names of parents? Maybe some of Benjamin's siblings were married in that period which would lead me to the parents. Thank you, Mark Hovila hovila@foxinternet.net
