Betty, Big Sandy is an unincorporated city near present day Lawrence Co., KY and Boyd Co. KY line. Boyd Co. was formed from Greenup Co., so my guess is the in 1755, Big Sandy was a part of Greenup Co. In addition, there is a Rowe family in Lawrence Co. OH., Perry Township, Deering. My grandfather, John Robert Rowe was one of them. This could be the connection. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to write back. When Olive died, John married Anna Maddy, my grandmother. I would like to know Olive's maiden name.
