Sandy Miller, My father who was born and raised in Greenup Co. says that Hoods Creek was south of route #23 between Russell and Ashland. He doesn't remember the route #, but says that you turned south (away from the Ohio River) almost directly in front of Armco Steel and that road took you to Hoods Creek. He says that the same route would eventually wind back to Flatwoods. Hope this somewhat helps. Perhaps someone else has precise directions. Pamela Holt Sayre sayre@sierra.net
