A new virus (actually created on January 20th) entitled... HAPPY99.EXE is being rapidly spread and, having received a copy of same from a subscriber of this Mailing List, it is imperative you all be made aware of same, which is _unknowlingly_ being spread as an attachment to e-mail messages... even the sender does not realize it is being sent! If you receive an e-mail message from anyone with the attachment... HAPPY99.EXE ... do NOT attempt to "open" said attachment... it IS a 'worm' virus. Immediately delete the message AND the HAPPY99.EXE attachment. PLEASE do NOT post any follow-up message on this Mailing List however, I encourage everyone to connect to the following URL address, for complete details... http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/happy99.worm.html "Remember that any files can be easily renamed. So conceivably someone could rename the HAPPY99.EXE file to any other filename, such as SAD99.EXE etc." Bottom Line: If you receive an e-mail message with any attached .EXE files from someone you DON'T know, delete the message (and the attachment).
