Ed, My Myrtle was born in Greenup county to Robert and Elizabeth Diles Penix and all her brothers and sisters lived there. Robert served in the Civil War. Many of them are buried at Noris Cemeterey in Hopewell, KY, Greenup county, I was there two years ago, but don't remember her there. All I have on Myrtle was she married a Charles Slim and died in 1905 in Naples, KY. This is very vague from one of the other Penix researchers. You might contact Bob at bob@hockinghills.net. He has a lot more information on the Penix family. I don't find a Gilbert in this line we have, but some Penix came up from down south that were unrelated. Bob may have something on that.
