Dear Researchers of Greenup County, Ohio, Several researchers have asked me about other surnames in the 1876 "History of Ontario County, New York", which I perused at the Western Reserve Historical Society Library this past weekend. Regrettably, I will not be able to answer your questions until I return to the library. The book mentioned a "Fever of Emigration to Ohio", in which a Daniel RILEY participated, making the trek to the Buckeye State. When I revisit WRHS, I will gladly check on MORRISON, EDWARDS and HALL, to see if men of those surnames migrated from Ontario County, New York to the Ohio River Valley in the early or mid 1800's.
