    1. [KYGREENU-L] Daniel RILEY, New York to Ohio, Early 1800's

    3. Dear Researchers of Greenup County, Kentucky, Especially Betty Lou Riley, I was reading a history of Ontario County, New York this weekend, that mentioned the "Fever of Emigration to Ohio" in the early 1800's, from Ontario County, New York. One of those who left New York and moved to Ohio was Daniel RILEY. Since the RILEY line that you are studying was associated with Lawrence County, Ohio, I was wondering whether Daniel RILEY appeared in Lawrence County, Ohio. If so, there may have been other New York families with New England roots who accompanied Daniel RILEY on the move to Ohio. I am attempting to trace migrations from New England through New York to the Ohio River Valley, in connection with my New England-born third-great grandfather William COOPER, who married Martha Ann BARNEY, 6 May 1846, in Liberty [Lynn], Greenup County, Kentucky. I hope we have a lead here. Much success to you in your research, and, thanks. Randal W. Cooper <rwcooper@kellnet.com> Lorain, Ohio
