Dear Researchers Whose Focus is Greenup County, Kentucky, Where was "RUCKER'S BRANCH" in Greenup County in 1814? I have a photocopy of a Greenup County Deed dated 18 Oct 1814, in which Abraham BUFORD sold one hundred acres to William DOUGLASS for a thousand dollars. The description of the boundaries of the tract of land began "on the bank of the Ohio" and included "at the mouth of Rucker's Branch" as one of the locator points. The handwriting is difficult to read, so "Rucker's" could possibly be something else. Locating this hundred acres on the Ohio River in Greenup County will help in my study of William DOUGLASS. Thank You, Randal W. Cooper <rwcooper@kellnet.com> Lorain, Ohio
