My Grandfather William Cooper worked for the C & O Railroad for 40 years. He is listed on his Marriage and Death Certificates as being born in Greenup County. On his son's birth Certificate he is listed as being born in "Hoods" Ky. His son is listed as being born in "Tongs" and Greenup County. Where Hoods and Tongs part of what is today called North and South Shore? I know that William and his brother Tom Cooper bought land side by side in Limeville Hollow.
