    3. Dear Researchers of Greenup County, Kentucky, The 1810 List of Taxpayers and Heads of Families in Greenup County, Kentucky enumerated three RUCKER households: Elzaphan, Reuben and Wick. Elzaphan and Reuben RUCKER were slaveowners in 1810. The 1811 List included these three RUCKERs: Ambrose, Ephraim and Reuben. Can you help direct me to where in Greenup County the RUCKERs lived in the early 1800's? There was a Rucker's Branch in Greenup County, which I found mentioned in an 1814 Deed, in which Abraham BUFORD sold 100 acres to William DOUGLASS. The 100 acre tract of land was located "on the bank of the Ohio" and also touched Rucker's Branch on one of its borders. Therefore, it would seem that Rucker's Branch could not have been far from the Ohio River. Thank you for your help! Randal W. Cooper <rwcooper@kellnet.com> Lorain, Ohio
