Hello Brenda. You are the first person I have heard from regarding the Chapmans in Greenup. I am so happy to hear from you! William Chapman, my great grandfather married Sarah Smith March 10, 1858 in Greenup. I found them on the 1880 census. William was listed as 40 years old so he would have been born abt 1840. I would like to know who his parents are. On the 1870 census, there is a James Chapman married to Rebecca. He is listed as age 28 in 1870 so he would have been born abt 1842.
