Hello My Grandmother Emma Jane Dixon was raised by Sylvester Smith and Sara Jane (Frazee) Smith on their farm on Robertsons Flat near Kehoe in Greenup. Sara Jane was known in our family as "Mudge." In the early 1900s, Sylvester and Sara deeded their farm to my grandmother. Emma married Jeff Duncan (son of Lawson Wheatley), and with the exception of Robert (the youngest) raised her children on that farm. Sara Jane continued to live with Emma after she married. My grandparents and Sara eventually moved across the river to New Boston; Sara was living with them when she died April 2, 1918. Last year, I was able to come to Kentucky to visit Greenup. My cousin Charles Duncan, Jr. of Portsmouth showed me Robertsons Flat and the land where the farm house had been--torn down now of course. He took me to the Kehoe Cemetery--I've also heard it called the M.E. Cemetery and sometimes the Cooper Cemetery. The cemetery is up the road from where Minnie Cooper Duncan had her store. Anyway, I saw the stones of a number of my family; I guess the one that was most important to me was of my G-grandfather Lawson Wheatley Duncan. Charles told me that Sara Jane was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth. We visited the cemetery and talked with the caretaker. There is no stone, but there was a death record--information given by my Grandfather Jeff. The record showed that Sara's father was Jefferson Frazee and her mother was Hannah Long. I am interested in knowing more about Sara's family. Is there anyone on this list who has information about the Frazee family? I would appreciate knowing about anyone related to his woman. Regards, Phyllis
