WILLIAM BOOK b: 1828@ Virginia was listed on various census as negro actor, dance master etc. d: ? can't find him after 1870 at one time believe he was listed as William RUARK on birth announcement/listing/record in Lewis Co.of his son Jacob. We believe may have been an error as all other factors point to it being William Book such as name of wife, date Jacob was born. (see below)William is on 1850 Greenup Co. census with wife and first son. Do not have 1860 census. 1870 Julia and son Jacob listed alone in Quincy, of Lewis Co.) m: Julia Scott b: 1830? in KY d: ? children: Mary C. Book b: May 6, 1852 Lewis Co. Ky. Jacob E. Book b: Sept. 10, 1854 Lewis Co. Ky (born though as Jacob E. Ruark) d: Nov. 15,1924 in Scioto Co. Ohio was burried Nov. 17 in Firebrick, Ky (Greenup) Thomas Book b:Feb 16, 1850 d: Sept. 12, 1866 Do not know what happened to Mary. Thomas died in teens. Jacob Book m: Cynthia A. CARVER daughter of George WAshington Carver and Cynthia JAMES. Living with wife on Lewis Co. Ky census 1880, 1900, 1910. He has been listed as clay teamster and retired minister. children of Jacob and Cynthia Thomas Hudson Book b: 1876 Lewis Co. D: 1941 m: Henrietta Rosetta HENDERSON Jessie Book b: 1878 d: 1968/1969 Florida m: Albert Grant HOLCOMB Harvey Book b: March 1882 Katie Book b: Sept. 1887 Lottie Book b: 1890 m: ? MULLINS Robert Book b: Oct. 1895 Albert Book b: Sept 1898 Silus Book b: 1903 Please let me know if you can help. This is my maiden name and we have been at a brick wall with the line for a long time now.
