    3. Dear Paul Howard, Patricia ____ and Interested Parties, Thank you so much, Paul and Patricia, for taking the time to post 1850 annotated census transcriptions on the BARNEYs and KRITZERs of Greenup County, Kentucky. I have carefully read all of the information, yet the answers continue to elude us regarding the Emma BARNEY and Samuel KRITZER who married in Greenup County, 28 Jul 1859. The Samuel KRITZER who was enumerated in the 1850 Census of Greenup County was born in Brooke County, [West] Virginia in 1818 [a son of Peter CRITSER] and married the widow Rebecca DOUGLAS BARNEY, 29 Oct 1841, in Greenup County. He died about 1895 in Greenup County, Kentucky, and is buried in Leonhart Cemetery, also known as Short Branch Cemetery, in said county. This Samuel CRITSER/KRITZER also appeared in the 1870 and 1880 Censuses of Greenup County, as married to Rebecca, but was NOT included in the 1860 Census of Greenup County. Where did he go? One year before the 1860 Census, a Samuel KRITZER [who was he?] married an Emma BARNEY [a widow? who were her parents?], 28 Jul 1859. Identifying these two individuals could pave the way to a solution as to Samuel KRITZER's whereabouts in 1860! By the way, I am a fourth-great grandson of Rebecca DOUGLAS BARNEY KRITZER. Again, thanks for your help. Randal W. Cooper <rwcooper@kellnet.com> Lorain, Ohio
