    3. Dear Greenup County, Kentucky Researchers, Are you familiar with the Critsers who lived in Greenup County from about 1830 on? John Kritzer appeared in the 1830 and 1840 Censuses of Greenup County. A John Critser also lived in Scioto County, Ohio in the 1830's. Were these two John Critsers the same person? Samuel Kritzer [son of Peter Critser] married the widow Rebecca Douglas Barney 19 Oct 1841 in Greenup County. Apparently they lived in the town of Greenupsburg at first. I am a fourth-great grandson of Rebecca Douglas, whose daughter Martha Ann Barney married William Cooper, 6 May 1846, in Liberty [Lynn], Greenup County, Kentucky. Samuel Critzer the carpenter [husband of Rebecca] was enumerated in the 1850, 1870 and 1880 Censuses of Greenup County. On 28 Jul 1859, a Samuel Critser married Emma Barney, in Greenup County. My object now is to find the parents of this bride and groom. Barney researchers, can you help me? Samuel Kritzer, husband of Rebecca Douglas Barney, lived on Allcorn Creek, near the farms of the Long and Owens families, from the 1870's until his death, about 1897. Thanks! Randal W.
