The only information I have is the same as yours. I have been told Thomas Jefferson Loper is my Great Great Grandfather and he was adopted when his parents where killed in an Indian raid or battle. I have been told also the name before adoption was Bailey. I do have a picture of him and his wife, if you are interested. Are you a Bailey or by marriage? Would we be distant cousins? Most of my family moved from Kentucky in the early 1900's and settled in Michigan or Ohio. My Grandfather's name was Jasper Loper and my father, who is 82, is Lester A. Loper. We now live in Freeport, Illinois and have since 1956. My father had 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Only one of the brothers is living besides my father. He still lives in Michigan. There are a lot of cousins all over the states. I also have pictures of some of the family that I can e-mail to you.
