Hey Kathy, Hmmm. Interesting. The only Walsenburg I see in my atlas is in Huerfano County, Colorado. Could he have died in Colorado and have been buried in KY? Perhaps there has been a clerical error down the road somewhere. Helen: The only thing I have been able to verify about him was that he was born in Sorel Canada. What I have seen in another's family tree states that he married in Lawrence Co Ky, which I am trying to verify that information. I know that he raised a family in Greenup Co because I have census records. I have a death date, from the researcher's family tree, but with no firm area that he died, I am at a loss as to how to get a death certificate unless I just take some "stabs in the dark" and try my luck. His wife is listed as dying in Cheep, Kentucky, which I don't see on a modern day map, nor see it listed on the 1895 Kentucky Atlas Index of towns. arg! Do you think this might have been an early witness protection program gone awry?
