Surnames: Eastham Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1AB.2ACI/3677 Message Board Post: This is a real long shot, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone has some clues for me. I'm looking for the parents of George W. Eastham. In the 1900 census (Alcorn), he's living with his grandparents, Edward and Julia Ann Eastham, along with 3 younger children ("Leftie"?/Lester?, Edward & Pansy) and Belle (may be a nickname for Virginia/Jennie B.), identified as the divorced daughter of Edward & Julia. A later census says the 3 younger children are actually Banfields (her divorced husband's name?). I had thought my George was her son also, but the later census shows her with 2 children by a new husband, and gives a total of 5 children altogether. I figure George must be a son of one of the offspring of Edward & Julia, but in the absence of birth records, how can I tell which one? If he's illegitimate, is there any hope of tracing his parentage? Thanks for any potential leads!
