Yes Sarah (Hood) married John Akins first in 1836 and my Great Great Grandfather was William Hardwick and Sarah was my Great Great Grandmother. Yes Sarah had three children by John Akins , Elizabeth Akins who married John Garthee and Had 5 children: Hiram Garthee who was born in 1854 in Greenup County,Kentucky and Melvina Garthee born in 1856 in Greenup County,Kentucky , John Garthee Jr. bornin 1858 and born in Greenup County,Kentucky and James Garthee born in 1860 In Greenup County,Kentucky and Ella Garthee born in 1867 in Greenup County ,Kentucky, William and Sarah had 8 children together. There names is Sallie Ann Hardwick born 1848 in Greenup County,Kentucky and married September 22, 1867 in Fort Scott,Kansas Bourbon County to John Henry Puthuff, 2nd was Samuel W. Hardwick born 1849 in Greenup County ,Kentucky and married May 12, 1873 in Fort Scott,Kansas to Elizabeth M. Coberly and Second to Mary J. Grahman and died ! in 1917 in Fort Scott,Kansas. 3rd is Ellsberry Hardwick born June 10, 1852 in Greenup County,Kentucky and married to M.P. Puthuff and died in 1888 in Meriden, Bosque County,Texas But is buried in West Plains Cemetery in Fort Scott,Kansas. 4th child is Grandville Hardwick born in 1854 in Greenup County,Kentucky and died in 1866 in Fort Scott,Kansas. I think he drown but not sure. 5th child Eliza J.Hardwick born in 1856 in Missouri and Married September 26, 1877 in Fort Scott,Kansas to John A. McDermeit and died in 1910 and is buried In Fort Scott. She was a school teacher there. 6th Child Kimrod Hardwick born in 1858 in Missouri but that all I have on him I think he died in while a Infant, 7th Child Andrew Hardwick born May 1860 in Arkansas and Married March 28, 1882 in Fort Scott,Kansas to Martha A. Harbin and died March 28, 1942 in Fort Scott,Kansas. 8th Child was may Great Grandfather He was George W. Hardwick born May 4, 1863 in Fort Scott,Kansas and married April 28, 1! 889 in Fort Scott,Kansas and died April 14, 1939 in Fort Scott,Kansas . I have all there children names and the rest of the Family. Sarah was the daughter of Andrew Hood and Mary Polly Cain and William was the son of Samuel H. Hardwick and Lucinda Bunch.
