I wonder if Isom Brown was born in Greenup or perhaps if he was born in Morgan County where Isom is a common first name? Maybe the family moved to Greenup from Morgan? Its a long shot but worth a try anyway. After searching for ten years, I just found that my ggf was born in Greenup County in 1873. His name was James Young Brown, and all I know is that he had a brother, slightly older, named Isom. James married Namcy Melvina Ann Pryor on Christmas Day, 1894. Nancy mostly went by the name Vina, so there have been lots of dead ends.
