    1. [KyGreenup] John Balloo in 1850 Greenup County, Compared to Others
    2. Randal W Cooper
    3. Dear Members of the Greenup County, Kentucky Discussion Group, John Balloo (Bellow) was enumerated in the household of Garrett Balloo in the 1850 Census of Greenup County, Kentucky. In the 1850 Census, John Balloo was recorded as a native of North Carolina, 62 years old, therefore born about 1788 and about 32 years old in 1820. The head of the household was Garrett Balloo, age 32, farmer, born in Kentucky. Mary Balloo was thirty, born in Virginia. Enumerated immediately before Garrett Balloo was the household of Linsy Balloo. Linsy Balloo was 26 years old and a farmer. Everyone in his household was born in Kentucky. Abeneda (female) was 22. John W. was three years old and Alice was seven months old. There is a death record in Greenup County for a John Bellow who died October 24, 1857 in Little Sandy, Greenup County, Kentucky. According to this death record, John Bellow was born in Tennessee. Query: Were the John Bellow who died in 1857, the John Balloo who lived with Garrett Balloo in 1850, the John Belew who was in Greenup County in 1820 and the John Bellow who was the brother-in-law of John Pratt, all one and the same person? Sincerely, Randal W. Cooper
