Not only are there several James Hollingsworths married to different women (I have to sort out if it's the same James), but James is listed on some documents as Hollandsworth and Hollingsworth...and on the 1870 census, they dropped the s in Hollingsworth. And then, of course, Harding is also Hardin...and I'm also dealing with Dickerson/Dickenson/Dickison, but that's a whole other story on another branch. Thanks to you saying you found James and America on the 1870 census, I found them using "Sounex" instead of "Exact" in my search--I hadn't found them using Hollingsworth or Hollandsworth...never thought to use Hollingworth. The census was done just two weeks after they got married. Now all I have to do is sit down with paper and pen and try to connects all the dots because there are too many names floating around in my head.
