My neighbor has this farm leased for Logan Bowling Jr. Go 2 miles up Laurel Rd. from Rt. 1. You will turn right at Richard Barkers house. Go till you see a Log House. This is where Ronnie Virgin lives. You have to go through his place to get to it. There will be a gate up there but you can walk around it somewhere. This is mostly a hay field. Go straight up the path through the hay, cross the creek. As your crossing the creek, the hill in front of you but to your left a little is where it is at. Hope I haven't confused you too much. Alex Brown married Mary Elizabeth Zuhars (my great-grandmother). They divorced before 1899, and both subsequently remarried. He died in Cincinnati, OH around 1933. I am not certain of his parents, but the 1870 Federal Census of Greenup Co. places an Alex Brown in the household of Joseph A. Brown and Susan Brown, farmers in Iron Furnace. According to the History of Greenup County, KY by Biggs and Mackoy (which has some errors), Alex Brown was the son of Capt. Samuel Brown of the Springville Ferry. Springville would put him a lot closer to the Zuhars, who ran barges from Springville. There are a William Brown (1802-1874) and Frances Brown (1816-1889) buried in McCoy Cemetery, Siloam Christian Church, South Shore, Greenup Co. who might be part of our Brown puzzle. Do any of those names ring a bell? Maggie
