Also, I have a couple of cousins in Greenup County. One is Sally Johnson, a current or former school teacher in or around Russell. The sale of James McAllisters estate to Semore Hardin(g) had the signature of all the heirs except for Jennet who had apparently died before the sale of the property. Henry was the son of John and Temperance McAllister and was approximately the same age as Harvey. John was a brother of James. They are the sons of Joseph and Nancy Agnes (Gilmore) McAllister of Pulaski Co., Ky. and all are proved by his pension records including the settlements after his (Joseph's death. Wish we were close enough to attend the reunion. Ordinarily we would be in Canton, Ohio, attending my husband's reunion in Sept., but last year we moved to ARizona, so it is a bit of a trip. My Grandmother & Grandfather (Willard) were married in Portsmouth & lived there for a while before moving to Va. and then Pa. In the 1850 census I have John, Elza & Jerusa living with Nancy & her mother, Mary. I have been looking into the possibility that Thomas & Ann were their parents or maybe Silas. Ann died in 1842 (maybe during childbirth-Jerusa was born in 1842) Also had a note that Elias was their father, but his wife Joanna died in 1831. Could have been a second marriage, but I don't have that info. I don't have any info on any other sisters or brothers of Elza. Would love to get a copy of the pictures you have. Will pay for any expenses. If you discuss family history at your reunion, maybe someone else has info. Elias & Silas were in Iowa when they died. That didn't happen, but am back anyway. I have been looking into the possibility of Thomas and Ann being the parents of John, Elza & Jerusa. He & Ann were on their way to Idaho with John Lloyd and Silas when John's wife, Elizabeth died in Iowa. Thomas died in Iowa in 1843. His wife, Ann died in 1842 in Iowa (maybe during childbirth-Jerusa was born in 1842.) Am trying to find more info on Silas who died in 1846. He is also a possibility as their father. I don't thin Nancy would have had 3 children out of wedlock during this time, but you never know. I would like to stay in touch, so please email me any time.
