Hello list. I am searching for the location of William Biggs' property. He is listed in the 1860 census, Greenupsburg, Greenup Co., age 59, but I do not know how to find his property location. It must have been huge, he values his real estate at $30,000, same goes for his personal estate. Asking the land patent office, they tell me I need to know date he aquired the property, and the location to send me a deed. Well, I wanted the deed from them first in order to find the location! Does anyone know how I can narrow down my search for his property? Thanks in advance. For what it's worth, there was a Biggs family that lived in a big house, just before you turned off of Rt. 23, onto East Tygart Rd. near South Shore, KY. They had a grocery store next to the house. I believe his name was Bill Biggs, the best I can remember. Possibly a descendant of the original one. I also think they did own oa lot of land in that area. As far as time, it had to be back in about the early 1950's. I don't know if this is any help or not, just telling what I know about the Biggs family and the area of land they had.
