Do any of the Nichols descendants have information on a Melcina Nichols who was likely born about 1825 or 1830. She had a child, I think, with Robert McAllister who was sheriff of Greenup County??? Marcia, The Heaberlin Cemetery has approx. 238 burials. I can find NO listing for any WURTLAND Cem, although there are a few smaller cemeteries close to Wurtland. Maybe if you gave me some names of burials in both cemeteries, I could check my Greenup Co burial listing and get you an answer. Yes, please, when you have time, send me your Frazee tree. I remember many times visiting Rosella Frazee with my mother--they were life-long friends. There was a time in which my family moved across town from my school, and I was instructed to go to Rosella's house and wait for my brother to pick me up to take me home. Rosella would always have a sandwich and milk waiting for me when I would come in. She was a kind, generous person. Is there any in Greenup County for a work shop on Gravestone interpretation. Anyone that has done any research on their family know they will spend many hours in cemeteries. There they are confronted with a staggering array of monuments, statutes, carvings, icons, and motifs. They all have meanings and can yield up an astounding amount of information to the researcher once they learn how to iinterpretate Them This course would be 2 hrs and would be taught at the various libraries in the county . It would cost $10.00 per person and that is only to cover the printing of a 35 page reference manual that comes with the workshop Let me know if there is interest in one of these workshops If anyone is interested I can email a full course outline. This same workshop will be taught this spring and summer (2008) In greatly expanded form at several colleges in the Tri-State. -- Thank you for your time and attention to this email Gaylord Cooper Author, Folklorist, STORYTELLER DIRECTOR EASTERN KENTUCKY STORYTELLERS GUILD 933 Johnson Lane South Shore, KY 41175 606-932-4958 coopergl@roadrunner.com

Somehow, I knew that at one time, and yet when I just looked at Florida's file, I found that I have her married to someone else. Could you tell us if the children you mention are those of Florida and Willie Frazee or Florida and Jeff Ferguson. When I was a girl living in Sciotoville, I remember Willie and Millie Frazee living closeby. My grandfather Jeff also lived nearby, and he and Willie would visit quite often. My mother was good friends with a woman by the name of Rosella Frazee Wooten. Would you by any chance have known of her or her family?
