We have never found any indication that there is American Indian blood in this line. I hate to see you pursue a dead end! The fact is, that the dark features are due to the Hulet, Ulet, Eulett's being Jewish. My grandmother Goldie said that the family was originally Jewish and had a lot of prejudice problems in Kentucky. They had a hard time selling their tobacco because of it and another gentleman took it to market for him. There is also indication that the Eulett's hid slaves for the underground railroad. Thank you Kelly! I should think that is where they were buried since they lived in Hunnewell. Marcia There's a "Cane Creek" that flows virtually through Hunnewell and on to the Little Sandy River. I am looking for more information on the Browns and Myer families of Greenup County, Kentucky. Kathleen Ramey who is deceased recorded some excellent information concerning this family line and left it to the Greenup County, Kentucky Library . Christopher Frederick Brown Lived in Greenup County but was born 10 Apr 1822 in KY father was WIlliam (Billy) Brown born in Virginia and mother was Mary Catherine Myers married 1820 in Bath County. Mary Catherine Myers father was George Myers. Rebecca Jiles spouse of above Christopher Frederick Brown mother was Nancy Myers and father was James Jiles. A letter from Pat Brown who has been working on the same family line for many years indicates that William (Billy) Brown and the Myers families intermarried in the Bath County, Kentucky area. Strongly suggesting Nancy Myers is related to George Myers as a cousin. And suggesting that Jane Brown per will book A page 18 recorded 2/27/1825 in Bath County which lists William S. Brown as one of her sons may be William (Billy) Brown who married Mary Catherine Myers in the same county. Futher Pat Brown's letter and research indicates that the Brown's, Myer's, Alfrey's are frequently marrying each other in the early 1800's of Bath County, Kentucky. I have more details if anyone is interested but am seeking for more information on the ancestors Brown and Myers families of Greenup and Bath Counties in Kentucky. _________________________________________________________________ Helping your favorite cause is as easy as instant messaging. So good to hear from you! I dont think I have seen you since the early 60s, when I was knee-high to a grasshopper! You might remember my parents more that me. My dad was Otis Childress who used to sing with you and your brothers and my mom was Edie Church Childress, one of your Caudill-Vallance cousins. Papa [passed away March 17, 2006 and mom on Jan. 26, 2000. I heard about Norman's passing. I spoke to Myra and Uncle Don several times during his illness. Please give his family my condolences, and trell them that they are in our prayers. About the Dillow connection, your grandmother Ella Vallance Dillow Clere was previously married to Fred Dillow and had one son by him. Delbert Dillow was your father, Charles Leonard Clere's half-brother. I have been keeping in touch with a member of Delbert's family, the wife of his youngest son. They still live in the vicinity of our homeplaces in Kentucky. I can put you in touch with them if you like. I'll send you my email address through Don and Myra. If you are interested, I have a great deal of information on the Caudill side of our family and have been working recently on the Vallance line.
