    3. Hi Paul, I am very interested in the Greenup County cemetery book from McDowell Publishing. I tried the 800 number and they only had McDowell Plumbing. So I guess, I'll would need the number, if it's not too much trouble. Yes, we have been with Mr. Micro for about a year now and it has worked out just fine. Someone said that their graves may be at the Oldfields Cemetery, but I have been unable to locate them there or at a couple surrounding cemeteries. Thanks Mark Hamilton email:heydad2@GTE.net

    2. Hello, I am new to the list. And boy am I lost in Greenup Co. My Ancestor William Bingham Meade, and Elizabeth Meade Cooper, lived in Greenup County in the early 1800's. As I understand William moved on but Elizabeth and her husband stayed in Greenup. According to Williams Dar Information, and information from his Rev. War records Elizabeth was his sister and lived in Greenup in 1832. I would appreciate anything anyone may have or find on Elizabeth Meade Cooper, her family, and her parents. Thank you, Ann Meade Ojai California

    2. Randal W. Cooper
    3. Dear Greenup County, Kentucky Researchers, There was something about Truittsville that drew my third-great grandfather William Cooper from Quincy, Lewis County, Kentucky in about 1858 or 1859. What sources of employment were in the Truittsville [now called simply "Truitt"] area in the late 1850's? The enumerator of the 1860 Census of Greenup County recorded William Cooper as a laborer, living with George Loper. Was the Kenton Furnace near Truittsville? Kenton Iron Furnace was built in 1856 by John Waring and others, according to Biggs and McCoy. If you are studying the people or antebellum industries of this area of Greenup County just west of Load, please contact me! Thanks very much. Randal W. Cooper <rwcooper@kellnet.com> Lorain, Ohio
