    1. [KYGREENU-L] PERKINS
    2. Chris Smith
    3. I am still looking for my Jacob Perkins in the years prior to 1850. I belive he was born about 1835 maybe in Halifax Co. N.C. or somewhere in KY. I have found him in Carter Co. KY in 1860 to 1880 but he died sometime after that. He married Athelile Floyd (or Cusik) and has these children in his household: George Sally John Lucy Nancy Watt A. (m. Cora Thomas+, Mary Elizabeth Brown, Sarah Francis Simpson) Isaac (m. Lucinda Stephens) Robert Jennie Bell Grant (m. Molly Hanes) Egbert Watt Anderson is my line Sally and John both claim Floyd as their surname and supposedly were Atheliles from a previous relationship. I was contacted by a descendant of John Floyd/Perkins who provided this info. Athelile died in 1916 at 100+ yrs of age, she may be from Boutetart Co. VA. Jacob may have had a cousin named Lewis and a brother named Tom. I cannot find Jacob's parents or siblings. There is a possible link with another PERKINS line which concerns the marriage Nancy Perkins. There is a story that Nancy was supposed to marry a Robert Abrams, and even bore a child by him (Marrtha Francis). (In 1970 there was a woman in Ohio who claimed this lineage.) Instead "something happened" and she instead married William Hill. Another PERKINS researcher has a story where a George Perkins found a William "Bill" Hill with his wife Luann Swarigen. George shot the man in the stomach (he did not die) and left the area for a few years. I am wondering if these two stories are connected and if the George is the same as mine. I suspect that various PERKINS families around Carter Co. are connected but cannot solve it. I am interested in any PERKINS info-----> any tidbit could provide the clue I am seeking. I am also seeking any descendants of Jacob Perkins. Any Perkins info is appreciated, if anything above sounds familiar, or if you are connected to any individuals here, please contact me. Much thanks to those who have shared!

    2. Wanda Clark
    3. I'm looking for the ancestors of Jesse & Martha Anderson of Greenup Ky. Jesse was born 9/10/1838. My mother was their daughter who was Edith Esque Anderson born 8/15/1891. I remember as a girl she attended the Daughters of the American Revolution meetings and I had not heard of it until the last couple of months. I'm trying to find out who her ancestor was that fought in that war. I have a conk shell brought back from the Atlantic Ocean and there was an old uniform in our home but when I was little I didn't really pay attention to the war that was involved. Any information you can give me would be appreciated. We lived out of Portsmouth between Clarkstown and Rubyville when she attended the meetings. Thanks for your help. Wanda
