    1. [KYGREENU-L] {not a subscriber} MARRIAGE RECORD 1928
    2. Is there anyone who could do a lookup for a marriage record? I live in northern Ohio and do not have access to Greenup County records. I am searching for a marriage record in early 1928, most likely January through April. The bride's name was MARGARET MARY EING, daughter of John Daniel and Margaret Eing, of Perry County, Ohio. Groom was CHARLES LOUIS LOECHLER, son of Arthur and Stella Loechler, of Franklin County, Ohio. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. I will be happy to pay for photocopy and postage costs. Janet Hudson, OH jmbezak@aol.com

    2. Hi List. I found my Great Grandmother!! As most of you know I have been writing this list and many others (you probably got tired of seeing my postings) looking for my Grandmother's (Mary D. Blevins), Mother. On Mary's Death Cert. It had her mother listed as Elizabeth Meadows. I had Mary, her brother Roby and their father Peter Blevins in a 1900 Census of Greenup County, KY living in the home of Gilbert Penix and listed as a widowed son in law. On Mary's marriage cert. it stated that she was married in the home of Gilbert Penix. I found Mary's fathers marriage license in Carter County, KY He married an Anne Elizabeth Penix daughter of Gilbert Penix and Eada Meadows on 10/15/1890!! Everything I had found so far on Gilbert Penix and Eada Meadows children has a daughter Elizabeth. I believe her name was really Anne Elizabeth!! I am searching now for her death cert. I know she died between March 30, 1896, and 1900, possibly in childbirth. I would like to thank all the wonderful people who have helped me "knock" down this brick wall. This list and all the people are WONDERFUL if I can be of any assistance to anyone please let me know. Thank you all very much Ed Cooper

    3. I am searching for information about James MORRISON and Mary E. EDWARDS in the Scioto Valley area. I believe that they may have moved back and forth across the river, and believe that James and Mary may have married in Mason Co, KY about 1805. If that is the case then David Ray Morrison(my gg grandfather) would have been born about 20 years later in the Portsmouth area..May 1825, so there were probaly several siblings. He is the only known child at this time, but there were many Morrisons in the area..on both sides of the river. David Ray Morrison married in Vanceburg, KY 1851 to Angeline Hart. I would like to find the parents of James and Mary, and siblings of David MORRISON. 1. [KYGREENU-L] William DOUGLAS Research in Greenup County, Kentucky
    2. Randal W Cooper
    3. Dear Researchers of Greenup County, Kentucky, Especially Barb Proffitt, Barb Proffitt recently posted a research interest in [among others] William DOUGLAS and his wife Hannah. I am very interested in William DOUGLAS, all of them, for there seem to have been at least three. One William DOUGLAS was in Mason County in 1807, near the Lewis County line on Cabin Creek. In 1807 this William DOUGLAS served as Bondsman for the marriage of his daughter Elizabeth to Alexander PIPER/PEPER. This William DOUGLAS was enumerated in the 1820 and 1830 Censuses of Greenup County, Kentucky, if indeed he were a match with the Greenup County DOUGLAS. A second William DOUGLAS was William DOUGLAS, Junior, the son of the first-mentioned William DOUGLAS. This William DOUGLAS married Isabella COOPER, 13 Nov 1830, in Greenup County, Kentucky. He may be the same William DOUGLAS who was enumerated in the 1840 Census of Adams County, Ohio. The William DOUGLAS that Barb Proffitt mentioned had a wife Hannah. QUERY: What was Hannah's maiden name, and when did she marry "her" William DOUGLAS? Please respond; I would like to share information on this issue. BACKGROUND: My fourth-great grandmother Rebecca DOUGLAS[S] married Squire BARNEY, 22 Jan 1822, in Greenup County, Kentucky. Their daughter Martha Ann BARNEY married William COOPER, 6 May 1846, in Greenup County. The fact that Rebecca DOUGLAS had a COOPER marry into her family in 1846 is what prompted my research into the earlier event of William DOUGLAS marrying Isabella COOPER in 1830. It is the recurrence of the DOUGLAS/COOPER pairing that drives my interest in William DOUGLAS. Randal W. Cooper <rwcooper@kellnet.com> Lorain, Ohio
