    3. Mr. Craycraft: Thanks for your offer - My ancestor was Samuel Laken Warnock, son William James and Elizabeth (Carlisle) Warnock. He married Rachel (Lowery? Shellers?) and I descend from their daughter Sarah who married Allen Huffman. I am at work right now, so I do not have my notes with me - but this is my connection.     3. I have just a very brief bit of info: Valentine HOLLINGSWORTH had a son Thomas HOLLINGSWORTH who m. Grace COOK. They had a dau. Hannah HOLLINGSWORTH who m. William DIXON. Hannah had a dau. Elizabeth DIXON who m. 27 Apr 1757 to William UNDERWOOD. That's all I have on them. I'm not a HOLLINGSWORTH researcher, but am working on the UNDERWOODs. Laverne

    3. Dear Researchers of Greenup County, Kentucky, The WARINGs were a prominent family, first in Mason County, and then in Greenup County. On Tygart's Creek, in the Lynn area, Greenup County, Thomas WARING acquired 1,000 acres, in 1799. The fourth son of Judge Thomas WARING was Thomas Truman Greenfield WARING, who had a son Leonard WARING. Was Leonard WARING the same person as the "L.G. WARING" who purchased a town lot in Liberty [Lynn], Greenup County, from William COOPER, 7 Mar 1848? The one-acre lot was located next to the Liberty Meetinghouse [Liberty Christian Church]. I looked for Leonard WARING in the 1850 Census Index of Kentucky, and did not find him under the standard spelling. Does anyone know a bit about Leonard WARING, before and after 1848? It would mean a great deal to me to identify the L.G. WARING who bought the Liberty lot from my third-great grandfather William COOPER in 1848. This transaction is in Deed Book I, page 209. Dear Researchers of Greenup County, Kentucky, Especially Betty Lou Riley, I was reading a history of Ontario County, New York this weekend, that mentioned the "Fever of Emigration to Ohio" in the early 1800's, from Ontario County, New York. One of those who left New York and moved to Ohio was Daniel RILEY. Since the RILEY line that you are studying was associated with Lawrence County, Ohio, I was wondering whether Daniel RILEY appeared in Lawrence County, Ohio. If so, there may have been other New York families with New England roots who accompanied Daniel RILEY on the move to Ohio. I am attempting to trace migrations from New England through New York to the Ohio River Valley, in connection with my New England-born third-great grandfather William COOPER, who married Martha Ann BARNEY, 6 May 1846, in Liberty [Lynn], Greenup County, Kentucky.     3. Dear Randall, You have given me the first hint of a clue that I have had on a HALL family in Lawrence and Jackson counties Ohio and later n KY. esp. Carter Co. KY., Have been searching this ine for many years. I descend from one HALL family of Westmoreland Co PA. One of the HALL daughters married a CASSANDER HALL. records show only that Cassander was"born in New York " about l825. I do not believe that these two HALL families are related. Cassander's wife, MARY JANE HALL and her family had been in PA for many generations. I found, in the l850 census of Jackson Co. Ohio, a CASSANDER HALL and a JOHN HALL, both born in New YOrk State. They were living with their married sister, ANNETTE (ANETER, etc) and she was born in New York state too. So, my question is : In that Ontario Co. History, was there any info on these HALLS? Any records of ANY Halls who went to Ohio. An info you can send wwoud be greatly appreciated, and I will start a search on the net in Ontario Co. Thanks so ,much for the tip. Helen..
