Hi Sherry, On the 1870 Greenup Co. cenus I have a George Sizemore b. abt 1830 married to a Frankie b. abt 1835 and their children are Hiram, Melda, Stokeley, Elizabeth, Magrady, Stephen, John B. Aletha, and Rosella. There is also a Sarah Patton b. 1810 living with them. I always wondered what her connection with this family was and now I know! In this census they are living next door to John Patton b. abt. 1845 married to Clarinda with children Mary a and Frankie J. This isn't my John ( b. 1840) m. Nada Foster but they must be relatives because they are living 22 households away from Alexander Patton and just 5 households away from my Boyles that married Amanda Patton. I have found most of Alexander's children's spouses but Sarah's. She married a Price but I haven't found him yet. Can you help me connect the two Patton's? Mary

Her father died before the marriage in 1815. I have found the names Alexander, James and Thomas Wilson. I am assuming one of them is Sallys father. I was hoping to find someone else working on this family that could "fill me in". Thanks. Vicky

Betty: I would love to take advantage of your offer to look up Greenup County families. Would you please see if you can find anything on Aremathy Darby born June 1874 Boyd Co. Ky. to John Darby and Elizabeth Johnson. Her first marriage was to my great grandfather George Washington Gayheart. She was supposed to have been married two or three times after that. One of those marriages was to a Mayberry. Although she is buried in the Dixon Cemetery at Westwood under the name Gayheart. So far I have not come acorss a divorce from the Gayheart or another marriage. I would appreciate any help with this. The Darby's supposedly lived in Greenup County so I thought that I might be able to come across something here. Hi Mary, My gr-aunt Vercie Sizemore married John Allen. She's still alive but she was probably born around 1895-1905. I don't get to see her often. Do you know of John or his family. He and Vercie did not have children. I'm also a Patton descendant from Francis (Frankie) who married George B. Sizemore. Frankie's mother was Sarah. I have a list of her probable siblings but no idea who her father was. Sherry Campbell
Betty, are you related to (or know closely) the Sizemore's of Greenup? Sherry Campbell
