I am seeking information on the following families. I am particularly interested in the family of Hiram BAKER and Martha MUSIC highlighted below. In addition, if anyone can help me confirm the marriage of Simon Peter FELTY and Malinda MUSIC, I would appreciate it very much. Any corrections are appreciated, also. Thank you. Hello Laura, Thanks for response. My Lemaster line is from Johnson Co., KY. and goes back through Eleazer Lemaster traced back to the Isle of Jersey by my cousins Johnnie, Daniel & Patty Lemaster. You can access the Johnson Co. Genealogy web site through http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JOCOKYReunion2002/ or Email [email protected] . My grandmother Malinda Mae Lemaster is the daughter of William Jessie Lemaster b. 2 April, 1862 d. 12 Dec., 1917 and Nancy Jane Sparks. W.J. L. is the son of Daniel Phillip Lemaster b.17 June, 1829 d.24 Dec., 1908 and Phoeby Bays. D.P. L. is the son of Lewis Lemaster b. 1792 Spartinsburg, NC d. 1864 and Martha Phillips. Lewis is the son of Eleazer Lemaster b. 1760 Amherst Co. d. 1859 Johnson Co., KY. and Machelle Tackett. There is great Lemaster / Sparks data on the Johnson Co., KY. genealogy web site listed above. Sharon I'll ask my aunts and see if they know someone who can help you in Flatwoods or Louisa. Wishing I could be there! I'll be coming up to take Chris to orientation June 10th and then back again June 19th for our family reunion at Fallsburg so I just couldn't talk Michael into a third trip in June. I have to be at the family reunion. Steph is bringing the triplets! Hello Sharon, Your best bet is to contact quilt shops in the area for the names of quilters who sell their work. Here are some websites which list quilt shops in KY. For a king size quilt, the cost may be $1,000 or more, depending on the complexity of the pattern, and the amount of quilting on it. Handmade American quilts are much more expensive than the ones made in China which are sold in stores like Penney's. http://hometown.aol.com/ldrshbbypat/quiltshops/kentucky.html http://planetpatchwork.com/travel/kentucky.htm http://www.quilttownusa.com/Chitra/Wholesale/kentucky.htm http://www.kathkwilts.com/shops/ (click on Kentucky on the left side of the screen) Sandy (a quilter in VA) =============== Currently researching surnames GILMORE, POLLOCK, REYNOLDS who lived in VA (Rockbridge Co, Montgomery Co & Pulaski Co) WV (Logan Co & Huntington area) KY (Carter Co, Elliot Co, Greenup Co, & Rowan Co.) I am the webmaster of Tombstone Central a cemetery project for mostly Kentucky but seem to be expanding over the entire US. Is there anyone in Greenup County that has taken photo graphs of the tombstones that would like to share them with us? I ask because I am a descendant of the Messer family and would love to find some of their own tombstones to post on the net. I don't have a direct Messer line in Greenup but many of the Knox county Messer's headed to Greenup and Carter Counties. Would love to speak with anyone researching this family. Also check out Tombstone Central. It is a free site and will NEVER be a charge. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~foe3643/ Cassy. -- TOMBSTONE CENTRAL http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~foe3643/
It is now set up at the archives to store old photo's. You can find the form to submit them at http://www.genrecords.org/kyfiles/ The nice thing about it you can type notes and information which is stored with the picture in a text file. Darrell Warner
