The son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. M. Jones, he was born in Green County, August 9, 1897. He was united in marriage to Miss Alice Kidd. She preceded him in death in 1941. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. George Dangerfield, Donansburg; three sons, Robert Jones, Donansburg, John M. Jones, Louisville, Ray Jones, Louisville. He was later united in marriage to Miss Rosie Gentry who survives. Also surviving are five brothers, Homer, Arline, and Henry Jones, Green county; Grover Jones, Louisville; Leo Jones, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Maudie Sidebottoms, Lobb, Mrs. Eva Davis, Louisville; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Puckett in charge, assisted by Rev. Coy Kidd and Rev. Manley Towles. Burial was in the Davenport Cemetery.
