Milby, died at her home with her dau, Mrs. S.A. Hodges on the 5th inst, from diseases incident to old age. She was 84 years, 10 months and 22 days old and leaves surviving her 1 dau, Mrs. S.A. Hodges, 1 sister, Mrs. W.F. Carroll of Taylor Co., and a number of grandchildren. She was the dau of John and Catherine Chaudoin Rafferty, and was born and raised in this county. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of which she continued a consistent member until her death. The funeral services were conducted at the home of Mr. Hodges by Rev. O.S. Hill of the Methodist church, and the remains were laid to rest in the old family cem near Gabe, on the 7th in the presence of her lifelong friends and neighbors who mourn her loss to them. Her many friends who have been influenced and encouraged by the life of this good woman will for years to come remember her by her acts of ! kindness and encouragement, and with regret at her going from us.
