Matney and Mrs. Rosie Gibson Matney of Greensburg, was born December 29, 1958, in Green County and departed this life at 12:30 a.m., Saturday, April 7, at Black Gnat in Taylor County due to injuries he received in an automobile accident. He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a graduate of Green County High School in 1976 and had severed 21 months in the U.S. Air Force. He was working at construction work at the time of his death. He is also survived by two sisters: Mrs. Rhonda Milby and Mrs. Sandra Adkins, both of Greensburg; two brothers: Larry Matney and Jeffrey Matney, both of Greensburg; his grandmothers: Mrs. Faye Matney, Greensburg, and Mrs. Myrtle Vibbert, Edmonton; and his great-grandmother: Mrs. Lee Young, Exie. Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 8, by Rev. Pat Humphrey. Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Johnny Bagby, Jim Comp! ton, Lester Houk, Kenny Jewell, Robert Judd, and Maxie Houk. Obituaries of Green Co.
