He was a member of the Summershade Methodist Church. Mr. Hancock was the son of the late Tuncel and Anna [Caldwell] Hancock. Surviving are his widow, the former Amanda Ella Gilpin; two daughters, Mrs. Garnett Gupton and Miss Margie Marie Hancock, both of Greensburg; three sisters: Mrs. Hendrix Sullivan, Greensburg, Mrs. W. B. Handy, Illinois and Mrs. C, D. Gilpin of Columbia; one brother: C. T. Hancock of California; two half-sisters: Mrs. Thurman Judd, Lexington and Mrs. Gleason Squires of Greensburg; one half-brother, Thurman Hancock, Greensburg, two grandsons, Glen Alan and Gerald Frank Gupton, both of Greensburg. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday, September 25, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Summershade Cemetery. Rev. C. R. Humphrey and Rev. Albert. Gisler officiated. Pallbearers were Grover Gilpin, Billy German Squires, Udelle! Sullivan, Coleman Paxton, Bob Jordan and Clarence Russell. Obituaries of Green Co.
