Sunday, August 12, at the age of 40. Paul had worked the day before and apparently felt as good as usual. He became ill Sunday morning and died that night. He had been in the garage business here for several years, and was a veteran of World War II. He united in marriage to Miss Gertrude Beard on August 9, 1935. To this union one son and one daughter were born, Paul Joseph and Sheila Mae. Surviving are his wife and children, father and mother; one sister, Mrs. Houston Hartfield of Greensburg; stepfather, Mr. C. W. Spillman and stepmother, Mrs. Bettie Wright Davenport, both of Greensburg. Funeral services were, held at 2 p. m., Tuesday, August 14 at his home, with Rev. V. A. Jones in charge. Burial was in the Greensburg cemetery. Active pallbearers were Hubert Coak, Omar Shuffett, Ellis Bagby, Wo! odrow Squires, Virgil Squires, Bob T. Blakeman. Honorary pallbearers were Free man Faulkner, Earl Kelly, Moody Hancock, Walter Mitchell, Joe Guthrie, Chick Pickett, Neal Cox, Smith Clark, Bert Bohannan, Russell Phillips. Obituaries of Green Co.
