He was a veteran of World War 1, a member of Picketts Chapel Methodist Church and a retired farmer. He was the son of Daniel Marshall and Margaret McKinney Kessler. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Lena Shuffett Kessler, two sons: L. C. and Garnett Kessler, one daughter, Mrs. Gleason Finn and 4 grandchildren all of Milltown. Also surviving are three brothers; Guy of Florida; El wood, Campbellsville, and Ezra of Greensburg; two sisters; Mrs. Grace Vanardsdale and Mrs. Lula Durham of Greensburg. Rev. Taft Thrasher and William Ellis conducted the funeral service Thursday at Picketts Chapel with Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery. Grissom-Maupin-Heskamp Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
