Hay, 63, son of the late John Arthur and Theodocia Kenny Hay, was born July 17, 1907 in Green Co. and died at 3:45 p.m. CDT, Thursday, June 10, 1971 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Mary Lois Carter December 18, 1925, who survives. To this union were born two daughters. Surviving is Mrs. Leah Maxine Dial, Greensburg. A daughter, Mamus Euline Hay preceded her father in death in 1929. Mr. Hay is also survived by one brother: Paul G. Hay, Chicago; three sisters: Mrs. Hortense Walker, Campbellsville; Mrs. Irene Traylor, Louisville and Mrs. Betty Baker, Pittsburgh, Pa.; three step-grandchildren and one step- great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 1971 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Hay Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Faulkner officiated.
