Thursday, January 17 at his home near Grab. The son of the late George Simpson Mars and Mrs. Sue Mars, he was born in Green County on May 3, 1882. He was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Nettie Mars, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Vera Lobb, Green County, Mrs. Syble Kennady, Hodgenville; Mrs. Edna Lobb, Louisville, Mrs. Audrey Schnitz, Fern Creek; four sons, Orvel, Howard, L. C., and Bill Mars, all of Green County; and fourteen grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church with Rev. Pepper in charge of services, assisted by Rev, Terry Bishop and Rev. Jim Bloyd. Burial was in the Judd cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ralph Pepper, Ulis Davis, Cova Judd, James Kessler, Shorty Judd and Garland Floyd. Honorary pallbearers were Emmitt Davenport, Olie Davis, Harvie Jeffries, Earnest Davis, S.
